It’s time to Celebrate
Fast approaching, 4th of July is a national holiday packed with traditions and celebration. Tried-and-true it’s all about the red, white, and blue. From fireworks to hotdogs and hamburgers to the patriotic decor, 4th of July is a day of commemoration and freedom in all its glory.
Looking for the perfect spot to enjoy the Fourth? Bursting with quintessential charm, Sonoma County is the place! American flags proudly line the main streets, farmers markets are in full swing, and tasting rooms and restaurants entice you with aromas of summer.
Yes way Rosé!
Here at Fritz Winery, we are releasing our 2016 Estate Rosé just in time for summer. A beautifully balanced blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet, and Malbec, our Rosé is the perfect centerpiece for any afternoon picnic or dinner party. An expression of our estate red grapes, our Rose is co-fermented in stainless steel, then barrel aged for three months in French Oak. The final blend carefully marries the unique flavors of our home vineyard showcasing hints of strawberry, vanilla, and blood orange. Clay and I feel it is a perfect pairing with paella, or chicken and seafood dishes. It is also really wonderful with a summer salad with watermelon & goat cheese. Only 60 cases of this bright and finely structured wine were produced.
In celebration of 4th of July, we are announcing a special offer: purchase 6 bottles or more of our 2016 Estate Rosé and shipping is included using promo code “ROSE2017”!
To stay with that “over-the-top feel good spirit” of July, I highly recommend a few more traditional 4th of July food, wine, and beer (you can’t forget the beer) pairings:
- Grilled hamburgers & hot dogs ought to be decadently paired with our Blanc de Noir.
- Homemade potato chips paired with Old Redwood Brewing’s summer release, The Fulton 2.0.
- Cheesecake topped with a mixed berry compote pairs elegantly with our 2015 Fritz Sauvignon Blanc.
Fritz Family Traditions
Like so many of you, 4th of July is a summertime pastime that my family always looks forward to. I can’t help but take it to heart! All month, I decorate my home and our tasting room with flags, bunting, and a lot of red, white and blue. This third of July, we invite you to join us for patriotic merrymaking in our hometown, Windsor, California. Our brewery, Old Redwood Brewing Company helps to sponsor the town’s Independence Day event “Kaboom”, where there is live music, charming festivities for all ages, lots of popcorn, ice cream and a fabulous firework show.
Happy Fourth of July!
