Fritz Winery | The 12 Days of Fritzmas

Abby Lynch10 views

Through the 12 days of Fritzmas, my true love gave to me…

  1. An Orchard of Olive Trees

Clay and Natalia Fritz planted 100 olive trees on the property 10 years ago with the idea of preventing vineyard diseases and producing excellent olive oil. The result was Natalia’s Olio d’Natalia—a deliciously light yet robust oil produced from the finest Sonoma County fruit.

  1. Wild Turkeys

Just like the those found on the Fritz label, wild turkeys roam free in Northern Sonoma County. This time of year, they feast on just about anything left behind in the vineyards. Come by the tasting room and you might run into a few!

  1. French Blends

A fan favorite, the Fritz Estate Proprietor’s Red is a marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec blended to perfection. With notes of raspberry, baking spices, and plum, it’s the perfect holiday wine. Share a bottle (or three) with friends and family!

  1. Cave tours

It wouldn’t be a trip to Fritz without a cave tour! Our underground winery is what we’re known for, after all. Naturally cool temperatures and our three-tiered cellar preserve the natural nuances of our prized estate fruit.

  1. Golden Chards

Great wine that gives back to an even better cause—one-third of all Fritz Reserve Chardonnay sales are donated to Global Partners for Development’s V2V wine program. Through Vineyards to Villages, the Sonoma County wine industry is funding clean water programs for rural schools in western Kenya.

  1. Pinots Pouring

If you’re a Pinot Noir fan, you’re in luck. Beyond our Russian River and Reserve Pinot Noirs, you can find Pinot Noir from Jenner and Lost Canyon. With six Pinots to choose from, what could go wrong?

  1. Sparkling Sundays

Sparkling wine and brunch are the perfect pair, which is why we host bubbles & breakfast every Sunday! Stop by the tasting room between 10:30 AM and noon for a glass of bubbles, breakfast choices, and a reserve tasting flight. Don’t miss the chance to ring in 2018 at Fritz on December 31st!

  1. Picnic Tables

Beautiful views and California weather can only mean one thing—picnics! With our Fritz-red picnic tables found around the property, pack a picnic, grab a bottle of Fritz wine, and soak in the gorgeous Dry Creek Valley.

  1. Potatoes Pureeing

There’s more than just wine in our tasting room! You can also find Natalia’s Sweet Potato Tomato Sauce, the versatile, nutritional champion perfect for your next home-cooked meal.

10. Tasters Tasting

With three flights to choose from, there’s something for everyone at Fritz! From A Taste of Fritz to the Fritz Reserve Flight to the Pinot Noir Flight you can book your tasting today: www.fritzwinery.com/Taste

  1. Zins a Zinging

Our flagship wine, the Fritz Reserve Zinfandel is California in a bottle. Made from estate-grown fruit, this beautifully balanced wine was chosen by Forbes author Cathy Huyghe as underrated and a “stand-out wine”. Looking for something sweeter? Opt for the Late Harvest Dessert Zinfandel, it’s the perfect holiday treat.

  1. Donuts & Bubbles

Ho ho ho, Merry Fritzmas! In true Fritz family fashion, Santa will be greeted not with milk and cookies, but with donuts and sparkling wine!
