14 Things You Can Do From Home

14 Things You Can Do From Home

We’ve settled into our stay-at-home routines, Tiger King has come to an end and the novelty has officially worn off. Now what? Since we can’t travel from wine country to wine country right now, we’ve pulled together some of our favorite things we’re doing from home to bring you some inspiration.

  1. Plant that garden you’ve always wanted. The sun is shining and the backyard is calling your name. Whether you only have room for some potted herbs or have enough space for a full garden bed, it’s time to get digging.

  2. Deep clean your home. Remember all those things you said you would do if only you had the time? Us too. Clean out your bathroom, organize your closet and hang that picture on the wall. We promise, you’ll feel relaxed after it’s done.

  3. Redecorate. Once you’ve cleaned it all out, why not rearrange the whole place? You’re spending a lot of time in your home, so it’s important that you enjoy the space. Here are some tips to get started.

  4. Play cards with your pet. No roommate, no problem. Enough said.

  5. Channel your inner Julia Child. We all have that cookbook lying around, and it’s time to crack the spine and open up that spice cabinet!

  6. Read a book. Put down the remote and step away from Netflix. Diversifying how you spend your time can help prevent bouts of boredom. Chances are, your local bookstore will be happy to ship anything on your reading list.

  7. Expand your palate. Turn your R&R into a little R&D by exploring new wine regions, varietals, and producers. Not sure where to start? We do: http://supportourwineries.com/

  8. Organize your wine rack. Warm weather is on the horizon, and we’ve put together the best ways to store and organize your (growing) wine collection here.

  9. Get creative. Draw. Paint. Sing. Bust out a coloring book. Use this time to explore your hidden talents, you might be surprised what you find!

  10. Do the 1,000 piece puzzle or finish that epic Risk battle. Games are a great way to spend quality time with your shelter-in-place buddies while having some fun along the way and keeping your brain active.

  11. Take a Masterclass. Watch hundreds of lessons from the world’s best of the best. Acting, photography, wine tasting, cooking, fashion, science – it’s all here

  12.  Wash your car. Step outside, get some vitamin D, and detail your car like you never have before.

  13.  Zoom with friends and family. Isolation makes it easy to feel disconnected and unmotivated. Stay in touch with people would you regularly see, especially those who may be alone during this time.

  14.  Keep moving. We know, you saw this one coming. Whether you realize it or not, you’re moving less and maybe snacking just a little bit more. But more importantly, you’re probably taking on some additional stress. Don’t forget to take care of your mind & body, and we’ll see you soon!
